KlangGestalten ist eine Gruppe von europäischen Geigen- und BogenbauermeisterInnen, die sich der Forschung, Weiterentwicklung und Förderung des zeitgenössischen Geigen- und Bogenbaus verschrieben hat. Freundschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und vertrauensvoller Austausch ist die Basis, auf der seit nunmehr 20 Jahren der Erfolg der Gruppe KlangGestalten gründet. Gemeinsame Aufgabe ist die Weitergabe des Kulturguts Geigen- und Bogenbau an kommende Generationen.
Als Fenster zur Öffentlichkeit dienen jährliche Ausstellungen mit Klangproben und Konzerten. Workshops zur Vermittlung grundlegenden Wissens über den Geigen- und Bogenbau runden die Aktivitäten von KlangGestalten ab.
2013 wurde die Initiative Con-Takt ins Leben gerufen. Hierbei werden speziell auf Hochschulen zurechtgeschnittene Progamme erarbeitet, die den Studierenden ermöglichen sollen, sich mit ihrem Instrument bewußt auseinanderzusetzen und grundlegende sowie weiterführende Kenntnisse über deren Wirkungsweise im Rahmen von Vorträgen, Klangproben und Konzerten zu erlangen. KlangGestalten Con-Takt Veranstaltungen fanden schon in Kooperation mit der Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin sowie der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München statt.
Weiterhin wurde das Projekt Con-Takt Junior ins Leben gerufen, das jungen, talentierten Musikern ab dem 8. Lebensjahr nach einem erfolgreich abgelegtem Probespiel kostenfrei handgebaute Meisterinstrumente und Bögen in ¾ Größe zur Verfügung stellt.
